Suspects nabbed in Pretoria East steroid bust

Two female suspects in their 30s have been nabbed by police in Pretoria East during a R3 million steroid manufacturing bust.
The suspects were arrested at the Silver Lakes Gold and Wildlife Estate and neighbouring Willow Acres Estate on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Katlego Mogale says during the police operation, three premises were searched.
“During a search at the first residence in Silver Lakes Estate, the team recovered steroids alleged to have been manufactured onsite. A 38-year old female was arrested.

“The second location visited was the storage facility in Meerlust Street, Equestria, wherein steroids in various stages of packaging were discovered.
“The third location was in Willow Acres Estate, where more steroids and enhancers were found. A 35-year old female was also arrested.”
Steroids, labels and other packaging materials were confiscated pending further investigation.
Both suspects will appear in the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
