Suspects posing as police nabbed near airport

A group of men posing as police officers have been arrested after they robbed a couple of a large amount of money near OR Tambo International Airport.

Gauteng police say three suspects were arrested on Comaro Road after they robbed a couple of R10 000.
Provincial spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says the suspects were nabbed while committing the crime.
"They robbed them of R10 000 but they were arrested whilst on the scene, the money was recovered. No one was injured and we found that the vehicle that they used was a rental."
Dlamini says the married couple was on their way from Alberton when they were stopped by the suspects.
"The suspects are due to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Monday on charges of impersonating the police and armed robbery."
