Tau sentencing postponed
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Argument in the sentencing of a convicted rapist and murderer was postponed in the Northern Cape High Court in Kimberley on Wednesday.

Tshepo Kennedy Tau, convicted on September 11 for the rape and murder of his stepmother Meriam Moemedi, would be back in court on November 14, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in the province said.
Spokesman Mashudu Malabi said the postponement was granted after Tau's defence asked for time to get a report from a psychiatrist.
"After obtaining the report from the psychiatrist a date will be set to hear the evidence on behalf of the accused and the State."
A criminologist for the State was to present a report on Wednesday before the postponement was granted.
Tau, 22, raped and murdered Moemedi on June 11, 2011, in Lerato Park, Kimberley. Her body was found in her house later that day.
