Taxi driver critically injured in mob justice attack
A taxi driver has been critically injured in a mob justice attack in Limpopo.
Paramedics say the driver was targeted after a four-year-old girl was knocked down and killed in Madiba Park in Polokwane.
Netcare911 spokesperson Nick Dollman says the little girl sustained severe injuries.
Dollman says the man had been stoned and beaten.
Limpopo police are investigating a case of culpable homicide and mob justice.
Provincial police confirm the four-year-old girl died after being hit by a taxi on Thursday.
"The community then attacked the taxi driver until police arrived on the scene. The taxi driver was then taken to hospital by an ambulance and is reported to be in ICU," police say.
No arrests have yet been made.
