Taxi owner shot and killed in Alex

Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for suspects who shot and killed a taxi owner in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg.
The 66-year-old man was shot in a drive-by shooting on Thursday morning.
Police spokesperson, Dimakatso Sello says the victim was on his way to a local taxi rank when the armed suspects accosted him.
The man was shot multiple times and was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Alexandra, Randburg, Midrand, and Sandton Taxi Association (Armsta) spokesperson Motlanalo Tsebe confirmed that the man was a member of the organisation.
"This morning we received news that one of our members was shot and killed shortly after leaving his home at 11th Avenue, Alexandra. As the executive, we are deeply saddened by the incident and wish that the suspects can be arrested."
The motive behind the shooting is unknown and no arrests have been made.
