Taxi protest blocks routes to OR Tambo
Updated | By Jacaranda FM news
Taxi drivers have brought the R24 to a standstill, abandoning their light motor vehicles on Friday morning and making it impossible for motorists and passengers to get to the OR Tambo International Airport.

Ekurhuleni Metro Police spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng says the protest action started at 3am.
"Both directions of the R24 freeway in Kempton Park are closed between Barbara and Jones. Also R21 on both directions is affected and this is between Comona and Voortrekker", says Mokheseng.
