Taxi rolls killing one, injuring 15 in Lenasia
A man in his 30s was killed and 15 others injured on Tuesday morning after a taxi rolled off the N12 in Lenasia, ER24 said.
Paramedics, along with other services, responded to the scene and on arrival, found the taxi lying on its side on the side of the road, said ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring.
“On assessment, paramedics found that a man laying inside the taxi. Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his multiple, fatal injuries … 15 other patients were found on the scene with minor to moderate injuries,” said Meiring.
Paramedics treated the injured before transporting them to various hospitals for further treatment.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations, said Meiring. – African News Agency (ANA)
