Traffic chaos on the R24

A go-slow by a group of metered taxis is causing traffic chaos along the R24. The taxi's are all driving at a snail's pace between Edenvale to the O.R. Tambo International Airport.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department says they are monitoring the situation.
"The flow of traffic has been severely affected by the go-slow on the R24 freeway in an easterly direction towards O.R. Tambo," EMPD's Kobeli Mokheseng says.
The go-slow started at around 4:30 this morning. It is unclear why drivers are protesting.

"We are waiting for negotiators from the SAPS to find out exactly why the metered taxis are causing this havoc on the R24," he says.
Reports have been coming in since early on Friday morning, with motorists posting and sending pictures of the go-slow to Jacaranda FM News.
