Teacher shot dead at school

A teacher from Mpumalanga has been shot dead at a school in Bushbuckridge.
The Mpumalanga education department says the teacher was shot in front of learners at the Sedibasathutho Primary School.
Provincial education department spokesperson Jasper Zwane says the teacher was shot dead at the school on Monday morning.
"It happened in a class. The teacher tried to run away."
It's alleged the teacher had been shot by her husband.
Classes have been suspended.
Pupils are expected back in the classroom on Tuesday.
Zwane says counselling is being arranged for the school children as well as staff members.
Police confirm the 30-year-old teacher's husband had shot and killed her.
Provincial police spokesperson Mtsholi Bhembe says a case of murder and an inquest docket is being investigated.
He says the incident happened shortly before 08:00.
