Tearful farewell for murdered Bokgabo Poo
The funeral service for Bokgabo Poo whose body was found
mutilated days after she was reported missing took place in Wattville, on the
east rand, on Monday morning.
Her alleged killer, 30-year-old Ntokozo Zikhali was arrested and charged with rape, murder, defeating the ends of justice, and violation of a corpse after he was arrested in Boksburg last month
A memorial service for the four-year-old was held two weeks ago.
Poo’s little coffin was carried into a tent filled with mourners – including political leaders, members of the Ekurhuleni municipal council, and deputy state security minister Zizi Kodwa.
The girl’s family and other attendees battled to hold back the tears when a video montage of the four-year-old’s brief life played.
Poo is being laid to rest still while some parts of her mutilated body are missing
The girl's father has pleaded with her alleged killer, Zikhali, for answers as he is expected back in the Benoni Magistrates court next Monday.
