Teen in court for stabbing two in hospital

A 17-year-old appeared in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of two patients at Bheki Mlangeni Hospital in Soweto.
The teen is accused of violently attacking a 85-year-old man and another 72-year-old patient in the hospital's psychiatric ward.

The 85-year-old man died on the scene with the 72-year-old is recovering in hospital.
Spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) in Gauteng Phindi Mjonondwane says the boy appeared in court on charges of murder and attempted murder.
''He is currently at a place of safety until his next court appearance on May 18. The matter was remanded for a psychological and criminal capacity assessment to be conducted."
