Teenager charged over alleged rape of two young children
Pietermaritzburg police are investigating the rapes of two boys, aged one and five respectively.
It's alleged that a 14-year-old boy sexually assaulted the children.
It is reported that the 5-year-old boy complained to this mother this week that his body was sore.
Both children were taken to hospital for examination where the 5-year-old told his mother that the teen rapes them at night.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the suspect has been placed in the care of a family member while a social worker assesses him.
"We can't arrest the 14-year-old, but he is processed under the charges of rape and that means…social workers are called in,” says Mbele.
"Once the process is done…the decision is taken by courts whether that person is arrested or what we do. But that directive comes from the court.”
