Tembisa school shooting was ‘inside job’: Husband
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The husband of the late deputy principal at Phomolong secondary school in Tembisa, east of Johannesburg says his wife was a clear target.

50-year-old Thembisile Ngendane was shot and killed execution-style outside her school on Friday.
“There was minimal acceptance to me regarding the allegation that a matric pupil shot her because the pupil failed Garde 12, to me it looks like the alleged student was used to shoot her, my suspicion was that my wife was recently promoted, and she had competitors at school.
“She was friendly to the students, she loved them, she never complained about the students. My suspicion is that it was an inside job, even some SGB members said it was an inside job,” says Wiseman Ngendane.
Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo says no arrests have been made.
“The motive of the murder cannot be confirmed at this stage, preliminary investigations revealed that the three suspects were driving a white vehicle.”
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is expected to visit the school and family on Monday.
Thembisile Ngendane is survived by the husband, two children, and siblings.
