Temperatures expected to drop in Gauteng
Updated | By Lindiwe Mpanza
The South African Weather Service is predicting a drop in temperatures with possible rainfall in Gauteng from Tuesday evening until Thursday.
This is as a result of a surface high-pressure system that will push southwest-Indian ocean moisture into the eastern, northern and later the central parts of the country.
The high temperatures in Pretoria and Johannesburg peaked at above 30 degrees Celsius between Monday and Tuesday.
Forecaster Kholofelo Mahlangu says there is a 60% chance of rain in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.
"There is heavy rain leading to localised flooding that is expected over the southern parts of Gauteng."
