Ten killed in horrific Mpumalanga crash

Ten people have been killed in a minibus taxi crash on the R538 at Hazyview in Mpumalanga.

The horrific crash occured on Friday night.
The Mpumalanga department of community safety says the ten people were killed when the minibus taxi they were travelling in veered off the road and caught fire after hitting 3 cows.
Spokesperson Joseph Mabuza says five other people were injured in the accident.
"There were three cows on the road and the taxi hit those cows and it overturned. Unfortunately it caught fire and ten people were burnt beyond recognition. Five people survived and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Mabuza says they are in the process of trying to establish the identites of the ten victims.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) says three of the victims were children.
