Former Grand Slam tennis doubles champion Bob Hewitt is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Friday, accused of abusing young girls he coached decades ago.
The Associated Press (AP) news agency reported in June that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) had served summons on the 73-year-old Hewitt on June 15.
The NPA said Hewitt was ordered to appear at the court on August 16, where he will learn what criminal charges he faces.
The NPA at the time said it would not state what charges Hewitt faced.
Hewitt has been at the centre of a long investigation into accusations he abused and raped girls as far back as the 1970s, reported AP.
