Thabo Bester saga: Latest accused remanded in custody

The Thabo Bester escape saga's tenth, eleventh and twelfth accused made their first appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The trio appeared in court following their arrest in Bloemfontein on Monday.
The men are all G4S employees.
Accused number 10, Thabang Mier is charged with aiding the notorious Facebook rapist and convicted murderer Thabo Bester during his escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre in May last year.
Accused number 11, Joel Makhetha and accused number 12 , Moeketsi Ramolula, are facing charges of violation of a body, aiding an inmate to escape and corruption.
Bester escaped the maximum-security prison in May last year by faking his death.
In April, he was re-arrested in Tanzania alongside his alleged accomplice Dr Nandipha Magudumana.
Magistrate Moholo Khabisi granted the state prosecutor’s request to postpone the matter for bail application.
The three are set to return to court on 3 July.
