Things longer than Oscar's Sentence trends on Twitter
Updated | By Charis Apelgren
Judge Thokozile Masipa sentenced Oscar Pistorius to five years in prison for killing Reeva Steenkamp.
If all goes well for the paralympian, he might only serve 10 months.
As expected, Judge Masipa's decision faced immediate scrutiny, with what seems to be a majority (on Twitter, anyway) saying it is far too lenient.
As such, a tongue-in-cheek hashtag #ThingsLongerThanOscarsSentence trended on Twitter within minutes of yesterday's final adjournment.
