Thousands expected in Durban for matric rage
Parties and day events officially get underway at venues in Umhlanga and Ballito this weekend.
Event organiser, Will McIntyre says they have stepped up efforts for this year's edition.
He says more than 7,500 passes have already been sold.
"We have the Red Frogs and they have hydration stations around the festival. They make sure everyone walks home safely. We also use a security company that manages all our onsite security. Undercover cops with the SAPS will also be present," he said.
Matrics from around the country attend the annual week-long festival in KwaZulu-Natal.
