Three men have been killed after their truck crashed into a residence in Cape Town, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the accident happened in Avenue St Denis in the affluent suburb Fresnaye.
A large dumping truck was found wedged in the home’s garage after 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Three lifeless bodies were found lying inside the front cab of the truck when paramedics assessed the scene.
“Unfortunately all three men had already succumbed to their multiple fatal injuries,” Meiring said.
Specialised rescue equipment was used by the Metro rescue services to remove the truck and bodies from the vehicle.
The cause of the collision is not yet known, and local authorities were at the scene for further investigations.
