Two children and a man have died in an accident in Midrand, Johannesburg metro police said early Monday morning.
The man, in his 30s, and two children, a four-year-old boy and eight-year-old girl, were in a van which collided with a car on the K111 in Midrand, said Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar. It appears the van had four occupants, with the driver injured.
"The accident occurred just before 10pm, and a third vehicle...drove into the rear of the van. All three drivers were injured and have been taken to Tembisa hospital." The cause of the accident was being investigated. The drive who caused the accident would be charged with culpable homicide, said Minnaar.
