Three held for armed robbery
Three men who robbed another man of his cellphone in Diepsloot on Friday have been arrested, Gauteng police said.
The men were found in possession of a knife and a toy gun shortly after robbing the man around 9am, Warrant Officer Daniel Mavimbela said.
Two men, aged 22, and a 23-year-old followed the man from Diepsloot extension two and attacked him in an isolated area.
They threatened him, took his cellphone, then fled into the nearby veld.
The man alerted the police and his assailants were caught shortly afterwards.
They would appear soon in the Randburg Magistrate's Court, said Mavimbela.
