Three injured in light aircraft crash at Kromvlei airport

Emergency services are at the scene of a light aircraft crash near the Kromvlei airport outside Alberton.
Ekurhuleni emergency services spokesperson William Ntladi confirmed to JacaNews the aircraft went down just before 6pm on Thursday on the M7 route.
According to Ntladi, there were three people on board, including a pilot and two passengers.
“All three survived with intense injuries. They were medically treated on scene before road transportation to the nearest medical facility,” said Ntladi.
The exact details of the crash remain unclear - with less certainty of where the flight was headed.
The cause is also yet to be determined.
Ntladi added police and the Civil Aviation Authority were at the scene to investigate.
