Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Three holidaymakers were killed on Friday morning following a multi-vehicle collision on Schoemanskloof pass in Mpumalanga.

The tourists from Netherlands were travelling in a taxi when it collided with a bakkie and a heavy-duty truck.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says two occupants of the bakkie were also killed in the horrific crash.
This brings the tally of fatalities to five.
"Paramedics arrived on the scene just after midday to find absolute carnage, closer inspection found three occupants of the adult foreign national tourists, deceased and occupants of the bakkie also suffered fatal injuries and were declared dead by paramedics.
“The driver of the heavy-duty vehicle was found to be entrapped in the wreckage and the Jaws-of-life were needed to cut him free."
Four people escaped with minor to moderate injuries and have been taken to nearby hospitals.
