Three killed in Sunday morning crash in Limpopo
Updated | By Martine van der Walt Ehlers
Three people were killed and another person seriously injured in a head-on collision on the R71 outside Phalaborwa in the early hours of Sunday morning.
It is suspected that the driver of one of the cars lost control over the vehicle, swerving into oncoming traffic.
"The drivers of both cars as well as one passenger were all certified dead at the scene," says spokesperson for Limpopo's department of Transport and Community Safety, Mike Maringa.
"Another passenger who escaped with serious injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital.
"MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has meanwhile expressed concern over motorists who continue to disobey lockdown regulations and curfew hours."
