Three men appear in court for Limpopo cop killing

Three men accused of killing a Limpopo police officer appeared in the Vuwani Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
Police spokesman Superintendent Malesela Ledwaba said the case was postponed to 14 January 2016 for bail application. They all faces charges of murder and armed robbery.
Thivhileli Vincent Hlungwane, 23, Norman Mnisi, 33 and Livhuwani Joshua Ratshili, 32, allegedly shot dead dead Warrant Officer Thomas Mabada, 52, on the road between Siloam and Thohoyandou last week.
Mabada and his colleagues were in pursuit of the trio, who had allegedly committed an armed robbery in the area.
Police followed their vehicle, which later turned onto a gravel road. Shots were allegedly fired at the police vehicle, and Mabada was shot dead. - ANA
