Three nabbed for deadly taxi shooting in Mpumalanga

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of three men in Mkhondo, Mpumalanga.

The shooting, which took place along the R543 (De Wet) Road on Thursday, is believed to be taxi-related.
Police spokesperson Donald Mdhluli said four firearms were also recovered.
"Subsequent to the incident, various stakeholders came on board and assisted. Hence, the three male persons were cornered on N17 road while driving a white VW Polo.
"The four firearms, including a rifle and three pistols with ammunition, were also found hidden inside the said vehicle,
The motive behind the killing is not yet known.
"Two people are said to have sustained some injuries during the incident,” Mdhluli added.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Piet Retief Magistrate's Court on Monday, facing charges of murder, attempted murder and robbery.
