Three people killed in Eikenhof business robbery
A shop owner, his assistant and a customer died after a
shooting at a shop along the R550 in Eikenhof on Friday night.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini says they suspect that up to 6 suspects were involved in the robbery.
“They confronted the show owner and then there was the shooting,” adds Dlamini.
Two other customers who were also in the shop, were rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds.
Dlamini says the suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
He has called on other shop owners in the area to immediately contact police should they see any suspicious activity.
“Police were also on the scene this morning to continue a thorough investigation. We hope the suspects won’t come back.”
In the meantime, Dlamini calls on members of the public with any further information to contact their local police station.
