Gauteng police have launched a manhunt after three people were shot and killed in Mabopane, north of Tshwane, on Thursday.

Gauteng police spokesperson, Mavela Masondo, says the shootings took place about 17:30 pm.
“When we got to the scene, we found three men laying on the ground with gunshot wounds. They were later certified dead by paramedics.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the deceased are taxi owners. We suspect that the shooting might be related to the taxi violence in the area,” says Masondo.
The police have opened a case of murder.
