Three women shot execution-style in Khayelitsha
Police in the Western Cape are searching for an unknown number of suspects who shot and killed three young woman execution-style in an informal settlement in Khayelitsha.
Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa says residents heard gunshots on Monday night.
“Reports from the scene indicate that residents at the TT Block informal settlement recall hearing gunshots after 20:00. A few minutes later the bodies of young women aged 17, 20 and 21 were discovered in a passage between the shacks.“
Potelwa adds that the motive for the incident is still unknown.
“The victims had all been shot in their heads. As investigations into the murders continue, the motive for the shooting incident is yet to be determined.”
No arrests have been made.
