Tight security ahead of Diepsloot case
Updated | By Neo Leeuw
Security was tight at the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Monday ahead of the appearance of a man implicated in the rape and murder of two Diepsloot toddlers.

Armed police officers manned the doors of the courtroom. More armed officers were inside the courtroom.
Outside the court premises, several journalists with cameras stood at the gates hoping to get a glimpse of the suspect.
A 29-year-old man was expected to appear for the murders of Yonelisa Mali, two, and her three-year-old cousin Zandile Mali.
The toddlers were found dead in a communal toilet on Tuesday after they were reported missing several days earlier. It was believed they had been raped.
Their alleged attacker was arrested in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg, last Friday after being on the run since the girls were found. Diepsloot erupted in protests last week after the discovery.
Residents gathered at the police station on Friday demanding that the suspect be released to them. Four other men have been arrested in connection with the case.
They appeared in court on Friday and their case was postponed to Thursday so they could secure legal aid.
