President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver the party's outlook for the year in Mbombela in the Mpumalanga province on Saturday.

It comes days after the ANC celebrated its 112th birthday.

Speaking to the SABC Bapela says plans for the movement of people in such events needs to be flexible.

"Security is usually tight because the environment is different and it differs from one province to another province and one stadium to another. There is a feeling that in Mbombela they should have managed it differently so that the flow of vehicles, buses, and taxis can easily be allowed so that people can reach the stadium, this is not the FNB stadium.

"Whilst doing security arrangements they need to allow the flexibility of the movement of people quicker so that we can bring this event on time"

Bapela has assured the media that the police ministry is doing the best it can to address security threats.

"...we can not undermine any security threat that might have reached their ears, and whatever they are doing is for the safety of everybody but I think they will be one that will then explain exactly what is the threat is about."

"They need to deal with any eventuality of any threat by anybody so that the ANC can celebrate in peace, South Africa is a peaceful country and we are living in peace but there are those people who will always be trouble makers and we would have to deal with them."

More ANC supports are still expected to fill into the stadium before the delivery of the January 8 statement.
