TMPD officer in court for Hatfield shooting

A Tshwane Metro police officer is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates Court this morning.
The officer was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed a man near the Gautrain station in Hatfield on Friday.
The courtroom is packed with officers who have come out in support of their colleague.

The officer was arrested shortly after a man was shot and killed in his car in Grosvenor Street.
TMPD spokesperson Isaac Mahamba earlier said the department's Internal Affairs unit is investigating the matter.
"They will also cooperate fully with the SAPS on the investigation," said Mahamba.
