Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan on Friday confirmed that a team from the Treasury is in the process of studying the Constitutional Court judgment that President Zuma violated the constitution by failing to comply with the Public Protector's remedial order to repay money spent on his homestead in KwaZulu-Natal.

The Concourt ordered that Treasury determine the amount to be paid by President Zuma.

Gordhan said the team has the necessary technical expertise and experts, including quantity surveyors and lawyers.

"The process will be transparent, thorough and professional and within the rules of public finance management," he said.

Gordhan said he would consult with the Public Protector and any other stakeholder, where appropriate, to help understand their mandate.
