Trevor Manuel calls for President Zuma to step down
Updated | By Laila Majiet
Former finance minister Trevor Manuel has called on President Jacob Zuma to step down.

In an exclusive interview with Soweto TV, Manuel says the Constitutional Court judgment against the president signifies a "deep crisis".
In the interview which is scheduled to be aired this evening, Manuel says: "A violation of the key oath of office of the Head of State, which I think is a deep crisis. I think it's in all of our interests that the president actually steps aside."
Manuel's comments come after the Constitutional Court on Thursday found that the president failed to uphold, defend and respect the Constitution with regards to the Nkandla matter.
