The High court in Johannesburg has sentenced three men to life behind bars for terrorizing residents of Soweto in 2018.

Sifiso Dhlamini, Sibusiso Victor Mkhangala and Emam Sala Abdallak faced 7 counts ranging from murder, robbery, attempted murder and unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane, says the sentences will run concurrently with the life imprisonment term.
"They were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, 15 years for each count of robbery with aggravating circumstances, 5 years for each count of unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition. Abdallak was further sentenced to 2 years for being illegally in the country after it was established that he is of Egypt origin," says Mjonondwane.
State prosecutor, Joyce Xakaza, argued that their acts of criminality were planned.
