Truck carrying explosives overturns in Tshwane

A truck carrying 20 tons of explosives -- including dynamite --overturned on Cullinan road in Tshwane on Saturday, emergency services said.

A truck carrying 20 tons of explosives -- including dynamite --overturned on Cullinan road in Tshwane on Saturday, emergency services said.
"It happened just after 2pm. The owner of the products and two technicians are on-site," Tshwane EMS spokesman Johan Pieterse said.
The explosives had not gone off.
Cullinan road was closed from the Mamelodi crossing until the scene could be cleared.
Drivers were encouraged to use alternative routes.
