Truck crash leads to heavy delays on N3
Authorities were attending to a serious crash, involving two trucks near the Vaaldraai and Vereeniging interchange, on Thursday morning.
The accident led to the closure of the northbound lane towards Johannesburg.
The N3 Toll Concession's Thania Dhoogra says traffic had to be diverted to re-join the N3 northbound again at the Dasville interchange.
"Emergency services are on scene, but it may be a while before recovery and clean-up operations can be completed. Traffic congestion and delays in this area should be expected for most of the day. Road users are requested to slow down and to please approach the area with caution."
