A 29-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend has remanded in custody until the 19th of April.

This after he abandoned his bail application at the Tsakane Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
NPA spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana says Kagiso Thobela and his 32-year-old girlfriend went drinking at a local tavern in Tsakani on the 12th of March.
An argument between the two erupted when they arrived home.
She says the girlfriend ran into her ill father's bedroom, but Thobela allegedly followed her, dragged her into another room and assaulted her.
Mahanjana says when he realised the woman was not moving he called his friend to confess.
She says Thobela drank pills and attempted to commit suicide.
He was arrested on the scene.
