Tshegofatso Pule's murder accused set to plead guilty

Jacaranda FM News has learned that the man accused of murdering Tshegofatso Pule is set to plead guilty.
The case against 31-year-old Muzikayise Malepane was postponed in the High Court on Friday.
Pule went missing in June 2020 and was found four days later hanging from a tree in Roodepoort.
She was eight months pregnant at the time and, according to the police she was stabbed in the chest.

Her murder sent shockwaves across the country with many calling for the government to urgently tackle gender-based-violence.
According to the information at our disposal, the guilty plea agreement between Malepane and the state is verbal.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is waiting for his legal team to make it official on paper.
Until then, the agreement is not official.
