Tshwane licensing centres reopen for first time since coronavirus lockdown
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The City of Tshwane Roads and Transport Department says its licensing centres will be resuming operations from Wednesday, 3 June 2020.
This comes after two months of closure due to the COVID-19 lockdown regulations.
Spokesperson for the City, Selby Bokaba, says the licensing centres should have been opened on Monday as announced by Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula, but Tshwane couldn’t open for business due to logistical glitches.
"Customers are urged to ensure that they only visit the licensing centres with a valid appointment to renew their driving license and are in possession of an Optometrist’s certificate," says Bokaba.
