Tshwane: Power issues at Zuikerbosch plant resolved
The City of Tshwane has confirmed that the power supply issues ar Rand Water Zuikerbosch Treatment Plant has been resolved.
Several areas of Tshwane experienced low water pressure, or no water at all.
This was due to Rand Water’s Zuikerbosch Water Treatment Plant having suffered a power dip that resulted in the operational failure of the plant.
The city spokesperson Lindela Mashigo says the plant could not pump water.
The power dip led to the depletion of Rand Water systems that include:
Zwartkopjes system
Eikenhof system
Mapleton System
Palmiet system
Mashego says water levels are expected to normalise soon.
