The Tshwane metro police has urged motorists to stay clear of the Pretoria central business area on Tuesday.

Taxi associations SANTACO and NTA will form part of an anti-crime motorcade in the CBD.
In a statement the metro police’s Isaac Mahamba says most streets in the capital will be affected.
They will gather at the Old Puto Depot from 9am and proceed to the Bosman Taxi Rank, Sunnyside, DR Savage Road and Menlyn Taxi Rank.
The streets affected by the motorcade:
Cowie Street
Struben Street
Sophie De Bruyne
Jeff Masemola
Rissik Street
Steve Biko Street
Soutpansberg Road
Boom Street
Johannes Ramokgoase Street
Lilian Ngoyi Street
Bloed Street
“Tshwane Metro Police officers will be deployed to monitor the motorcade and all affected streets,” said Mahamba.
The taxi associations are expected to depart from the Old Putco Depot at 15:00.
