TUT says staircase collapse won’t impact exams

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) says its business as usual at their Soshanguve South campus following the collapse of a staircase in one of its administration buildings on Thursday.
Spokesperson Phaphama Tshisikhawe says the incident won’t have any impact on exams.
“This is one of the admins buildings, so students are continuing with the final stage of their exams.
“As reported, there were no injuries. No students were around, the entire building has been cordoned off and the exams are moving forward as planned.
“The engineers were immediately called on scene and are assess the extent of the damage and will then make recommendations.”
