TUT student dies amid protest
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Police have confirmed that a student from the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) died on the streets of Pretoria yesterday.

Police spokesperson Sally de Beer says the student was hit by a car while marching between campuses.
"Students were marching from the north campus to the south campus and the driver of a vehicle drove into the crowd and seven students were injured resulting in the death of one of the students," she said.
De Beer says a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
"There's no indication that this was in anyway linked to police action."
