Twelve injured in taxi crash
Twelve people were injured after a car and a taxi collided in Roodepoort early this morning.
According to ER24's Annine Siddall, 10 passengers as well as the driver of the taxi sustained minor to moderate injuries on Goldman street and Golf Club Terrace.
"At the time of their arrival, ER24 paramedics found the taxi lying on its side. Ten passengers and the taxi driver were found outside of the taxi and the driver of the Polo was found next to his vehicle," she says.
Six patients were transported to the Helen Joseph Hospital for further medical care, while six others were taken to nearby hospitals by other emergency services on scene.
