Twelve killed in Western Cape taxi crash

Twelve people were killed when a
taxi lost control and crashed on the N1 near Touws River in the Hex River
Valley.
Western Cape Traffic Chief Kenny Africa says the taxi overturned and crashed in a concrete culvert.
“In this crash twelve people lost their lives. Six men, three women, and three children."
He adds the taxi driver was one of the twelve people who lost their lives.
Ten people were injured in the incident and transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
Africa says the taxi was traveling from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town.
