Two bodies retrieved from Mpumalanga river

Bodies of two people were retrieved from Wolamlambo River in Embalenhle, Mpumalanga police said on Wednesday.

Spokesman Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said the body of a man, identified as Lucas Lukhele, 32, was retrieved on Tuesday. Lukhele was from the Embalenhle area.
The other body of an unidentified woman in her early 50’s was discovered in the same river on Monday.
â€Preliminary investigation suggests that the victims were killed somewhere and their bodies dumped in the river. The community members alerted the police after noticing a body floating in the river,†Mohlala said.
He added that Lukhele’s hands were tied from the back and the woman had stab wounds.
No arrests have been made.
