Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects who robbed a cash-in-transit van of an undisclosed amount of money in Putfontein on Wednesday morning.

The incident claimed the lives of two male bystanders, while another was rushed to hospital for medical care.
The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe has urged the public to avoid the Putfontein road in Crystal Park as this is still an active crime scene.
“The SAPS has mobilised its crime scene experts including the SAPS bomb disposal unit to investigate, while a multidisciplinary team has been dispatched to search for the armed suspects.”
Police managed to recover three of the suspects’ getaway vehicles.
