Two dead after temporary bridge collapses onto M1

Two people have died and at least 21 injured after a temporary bridge near Grayston Drive collapsed onto the M1 highway.
Johannesburg EMS confirmed the death of a taxi driver and one other.
The temporary bridge collapsed at around 15:45 on Wednesday afternoon.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, says three vehicles are trapped under the collapsed overhead structure.
"There are three people trapped in the three vehicles. Emergency services are busy trying to stabilise those trapped," he says.
Traffic is heavily backed up on the M1 in both directions.
Motorists are urged to not travel in the emergency lanes - to ensure emergency vehicles have easy access to the scene.
"We are urging motorists to work with us. It was very difficult for us to arrive at the scene following the incident, as motorists blocked the emergency lane," Mulaudzi says.
